Copper Studio
Embossed copper cuffs from digital design to finished jewelry.
These bracelets show how a computer design can become a textured piece of wearable metal. The process combines laser-made embossing plates, annealed copper, rolling mill pressure, patina, sanding, sealing, and hand forming.
Finished Work
Copper bracelets with relief, texture, and finish.
Process
How the bracelet pattern gets into the copper.
Each bracelet starts as custom artwork. The design is laser engraved into a laminated cardboard and aluminum embossing plate, then annealed copper is taped to the plate and pressed through a rolling mill. Liver of Sulfur darkens the recessed areas, sanding reveals the bright raised copper, and a clear finish protects the final cuff.
